Described as the “Cadillac of jewelry stores”, the French-style Harry Winston jewelry store (and the building it’s housed in) was originally built in 1872, and remade in its current form in 1960. These days, Harry Winston has seven stores in America (along with its 5th Avenue headquarters), and another 17 stores worldwide.
It has been well-regarded for its lines of high-end jewelry, engagement rings, gift items and watches, and has an archival list of fine stones that was made for royalty and wealthy private collectors worldwide. This luxury retailer was recently purchased by The Swatch Group.
