725 5th Avenue | Trump Tower

725 Quinta 5ta Avenida Nueva York Torre Trump Tower

Trump Tower is a 58-story mixed-use skyscraper located at the corner of East 56th Street and 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The Tower, the 51st tallest building in New York City, was developed by New York developer and media personality Donald Trump and the Equitable Life Assurance Company, and completed in 1983.

The building’s public spaces are clad in Breccia Pernice (a pink white-veined marble) and brass and mirrors are used throughout, and serve as a reminder of the Wall Street excess from the 1980s. This includes the office lobby (which faces 5th Avenue), and a five-level atrium which has a waterfall, shops (Trump Gift Counter – which sells Donald’s books, ties, golf nostalgia, and other novelties; and a space that sells his daughter Ivanka Trump’s jewelry line), cafés & restaurants (including Starbucks and Trump Restaurant), and a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the waterfall’s pool. The atrium is crowned with a skylight.

Also keep an eye out for the many bold-faced names who occupy the building’s lavish apartments, including the winners of the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA contests who live here during their year-long reign.

In recent years, Trump Tower has been the setting for Donald Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice”, which includes the infamous boardroom scene, where at least one contestant gets fired at the end of each episode. “The Apprentice” show actually has a TV studio on-site.
