89 5th Avenue NY | Banana Republic Store
This is the Lower 5th Avenue branch of the well-known “Banana Republic” store chain. This outlet has been at this location since the late 1990s, back when the store was still selling a mix of men’s outerwear, giftware and home décor items. Nowadays, of course, Banana Republic sells an array of women’s casual and contemporary garments, as well as men’s casual attire, shoes and accessories. The attire sold there appeals to both the NYU crowd, as well as well-heeled condo residents moving into this part of town.
